Gary Leffew – World Champion Bull Rider & PRCA Hall of Famer

Gary Leffew is a legendary figure in the world of rodeo, known for his groundbreaking approach to bull riding and mental training. A former World Champion Bull Rider, PRCA Hall of Famer, and eight-time NFR qualifier, Gary also won the NFR average and served as the Bull Riding Director of the PRCA.

Through his innovative, progressive, and holistic training methods, Gary’s Bull Riding School has produced more PRCA, PBR, Canadian, and NHSRA Champions and Finals qualifiers than any other program. His methods transformed the sport, proving that success in bull riding is as much about mental strength as it is about physical ability.

Gary’s journey into mental performance began after struggling through a six-month slump. A friend introduced him to Maxwell Maltz’s book Psycho-Cybernetics, which changed his life and perspective on the sport. By mastering the mental game, he not only revitalized his own career but also revolutionized how future champions train and compete. Today, his teachings continue to shape the next generation of elite bull riders.

Life Armor Labs Metabolic Challenge: “Peak vs. Potential”

Challenge Name: Peak vs. Potential

Overview:
Athletes will engage in a two-part metabolic challenge designed to highlight the performance and recovery benefits of Life Armor DNA NRG™ wearables. Participants will first perform a high-intensity workout without the wearable to establish their baseline metrics. After a short recovery period, they will repeat the same workout while wearing the Life Armor wearable to experience its real-time impact on endurance, energy efficiency, and recovery optimization.

Challenge Breakdown

1. Baseline Performance Test (Without Wearable):

Activity Options:
- Option A: 20-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session.
- Option B: A 5K run or 10K bike ride for endurance testing.
- Option C: A functional fitness circuit (e.g., burpees, squats, sprints, push-ups, kettlebell swings).
Metrics Tracked:
- Heart rate (peak and average).
- Caloric burn and metabolic efficiency.
- Time to fatigue.
- Recovery heart rate after 2 minutes of rest.

2. Recovery Phase:

20-30 minutes of active or passive recovery, monitored to ensure the same recovery conditions before retesting.

3. Performance Optimization Test (With Wearable):

Repeat the same workout while wearing the Life Armor DNA NRG™ wearable.
Metrics Tracked (Side-by-Side Comparison):
- Heart rate variability (HRV) during activity.
- Time to fatigue and perceived effort.
- Recovery heart rate improvement after 2 minutes.
- Enhanced endurance or reduced exertion (measured by time, speed, or reps).

Participant Experience:

Athletes will receive a detailed side-by-side report comparing their performance and recovery metrics from the two tests, emphasizing the wearable’s impact on energy efficiency, endurance, and recovery.

Incentives:
